I Was Searching For a Fool When I Found You

Last night Mum, Dad, Joe and I went to see As You Like it at the RSC in Stratford.

Before the show we went to a pub and sat round chatting, and we ended up having a laugh about memories from when the kids were all younger and back in the day. It was one of the nicest moments I've had with my family (well, half of my family) in the last few years. Even my dad looked nostalgic and happier. Things like Tom getting punched by a kangaroo and Joe getting chased by monkeys and Rob randomly hitting strangers in the crotch and Dad getting hit in the head with a golf ball (true stories). Here's to better days to come. After the pub we got fish n' chips and then rushed over to the theatre in the rain (might be the most stereotypically British sentence so far), and then it was go time.

My favourite Shakespearean comedy has to be Much Ado. And Emma Thompson and Kenneth Branaugh in that film are absolutely hilarious. If I could have anyone's career I'd choose Emma Thompson in a heartbeat - her or Helena Bonham Carter. Anyway, back to Friday night:

Here's me with Mum and Dad after the show. Dad's making the Zoolander face.

This one pretty much sums up the relationship between my Dad and me.

And here's Joe and me!
