Dobry vecher!
Well we're half way through Kooza and I have two lovely days off, which will most likely be spent drinking and sleeping - two things I don't have time to do the rest of the time. You want to talk about holding liquor. These Russians and their vodka (or водка, which just looks so much cooler)!
The other night I spent a good ten minutes trying to decide if a monkey could actually do my job. I finally decided that they couldn't, but mainly because I don't think they can tell time.
So they've asked me if I'll go to San Diego with them for the month-long run at Del Mar. I'm really enjoying working with Cirque so far and I'd definitely love to go, but I have to work out where to stay for the run so we'll see what happens. I don't have a car but my income is decent and I'd be out of Orange County for a month! After San Diego they're going up to Portland and then to Seattle, which I'd also love to do. I'm starting to get to know people and it's making the whole show so much more fun, plus I love having a theatre job that ends with a paycheque! I'm getting to the point where we're starting to joke around and mess about during the show, and I'm getting used to switching to saying hello to people in four or five different languages depending on who I'm talking to!
Meanwhile I've submitted resumes for a couple of auditions and other than that I'm just doin my thing. Life is crazy and I'm lovin' 2010.
And taking a leaf out of Liz's blog, here is the Russian word of the day: Zdravstvujte - Hello
Dasvidaniya!
