Time to update on what i've been up to for the last few weeks.
First, the World Cup. Very sad to see England get knocked out, but very excited to sit in a Tully's coffee shop in the Seattle airport and watch Germany get eliminated today!!!
And what was I doing in a Tully's coffee shop in Seattle?
Well, the minute the England match was over on Sunday morning I rushed to Long Beach to catch a flight to Seattle to surprise Amber for the week! Jeff and I had been planning it for a couple of weeks and I was thrilled to be able to go. Chris picked me up at the airport and we went straight over to Amber and Jeff. In short, it was brilliant. Not only that, but my wardrobe manager said I could work this week if I wanted, so I ended up throwing my blacks back on for another 7 shows in the Grand Chapiteau :) I don't miss the work, but I do miss working there. The first night I went back into the Tapis Rouge was incredible. Everyone was so friendly and I felt very missed :) Amber and Jeff and I spent the week hanging out in between shows, going to see Iron Man and Toy Story 3, watching a lot of The Daily Show and going downtown. I slotted back into my dresser track no problem, and had a ton of fun being back and running the show. And although my poor laptop finally fizzled out and died this week, Amber bought me a copy of Water For Elephants, which I love already and can't wait to jump into!
Here are a few photos from some of the lovely people in my life:
Amber and me at Pike Place Market, right after they threw fish over our heads!
Jeff and me at the original Starbucks in Seattle. It had to be done, chai latte in hand.
Dinner. And sometimes breakfast.
The Yellow and Blue.
Sergey and me before the curtain call.
Mike, myself, Amber and Vladik during High Wire set up!
Pain and Panic, with rats in tow.
A fabulous week. So very grateful.
Now, all that's left to do is to ship things back to England, go to my INS appointment, decide if I'm going to grad school in September, enjoy the next 10 days in California, and try to control how excited I am to be flying home to see my family. I'm making plans, and a lot of travel plans, and after the last 7 months, I can't wait to see where I'll go.
