Retrospect: Part Two

(Half my photos are still on my phone and will be added as soon as Bluetooth can find my phone)

So continuing with Part Two, after the hung parliament fiasco, I moved out of my subletter's house, a move that conveniently coincided with a 2am text from across the hall asking if I wanted a tab of ecstasy. I didn't. What followed next was a week of Kate and Amber time that was nothing short of spectacular and led to numerous stories beginning with, "Hey, remember that time...?" Said stories included a three mile uphill hike to find KFC, an accidental night of drinking that started with one rum and coke and resulted sitting on the table and performing 4am renditions of Suddenly Seymour and It's a Hard Knock Life (When the joggers started going by around 7:30am we figured it was probably time to go to bed...and then go to a 9 hour shift), midnight walks down to The Thirsty Lion for the most amazing brownie ever, B-Dubs, and who knows what else.

Work ticked by and I started realising that Cirque was all going to be over soon. True to form, I ignored the nauseated feeling in the pit of my stomach and continued each evening, each performance, each quick change. Three weeks went by and we got our last double dark at the beginning of the last week in Portland.

So back to Portland Union and back on the train to Olympia. This is a fairly accurate portrayal of my traveling experience:

This time we had planned to go bowling, so we met at the bowling alley and decided to have a beer while we waited for everyone to show up. This led to more beer and the best bowling alley bartender I have ever met: Angie. Finally everyone showed up and we headed over to the lanes, only to find that it was too late to bowl and the alley was closing in 15 minutes. So what do you do when that happens?

You find another bar.

All in all, a very relaxed, chill evening with lovely people. The next morning Ariana and I got coffee and caught up, and then the two of us and Jesse headed up in a general Seattle direction to the mall while we waited for Matt's plane to get in. I don't think I've ever spent so much time in a mall in my life! The day involved H&M, Cheesecake Factory and Ariana getting a haircut and ended for me sometime around the moment I fell asleep in the car. The next morning it was back to Portland again for the last time, and I could start to feel the twinges of nostalgia creeping in.

Wednesday's show came and went, and Thursday and Friday rolled by. And that brought me to my last weekend at Kooza.

I am sadly, pathetically, thoroughly pleased that I (sort of) made it into your blog. :D Miss you love.
