I'm lovin' being back at home. There's been stuff, but aside from that it's great hanging out with the boys. Callum got his thumb trapped in a door and had to go to the emergency room, but the nail is growing back now and he's fine. Tom's working a lot, Steve's in Wisconsin and Joe and Rob have just broken up from school for the holidays.
One of my favourite things about England is how the ancient and the modern coexist. It's this incredible fusion of castles and bars and theatres and cathedrals, and everything in between: Victorian houses and Parliament and cobblestones. There's a field up the road from my family's house that looks like it could've come out of a Jane Austen novel. The hills in the background and the clouds overhead are fantastic. This is a picture of it right after it rained:
I went down to London last week and stayed with Kenny for a couple of days. We walked all over London and got caught in the rain and stumbled onto the Harry Potter premiere and saw a play at the National Theatre. It was great!
